Key goal at Chies d'Alpago: Defend Elite & U19 Women's GC leads on Internazionali d'Italia Stage 4.

A target that Lucia Bramati and Giorgia Pellizotti achieved thanks to two brilliant performances in their respective races in the province of Belluno.

In the Women's Open competition, Lucia(photocredit Alessio Pederiva) finished fourth, preceded by Chilean champion Catalina Vidaurre Kossmann, Chiara Teocchi and Sara Cortinovis.

«Today's race went much better than expected», said the Trinx Factory Team rider. «I've always suffered here, both because of the heat and the nature of the course; instead today I had fun, even though I struggled a lot. I held on - especially mentally - I found my pace and I got to the finish line. Now I'm aiming for Esanatoglia next week, I hope to have a good race on a course that suits me, bringing home the leader's jersey of the circuit».

The leader's jersey now seems to be in the bag for Giorgia Pellizotti (photo alongside), who, after her second place in yesterday's Italian short track championship, has taken another second place, this time behind European champion Maruša Tereza Šerkezi. A very useful placement in any case to secure first place in the overall U19 standings, where the biker boasts a 75-point advantage over Nicole Azzetti.

The games are still open in the U19 mencategory where, after today's success, Elia Rial has regained the leader's jersey. The frontrunner will have to watch out forPietro Cao, who in Esanatoglia in seven days will have to try to recover 20 points from his rival. Today Pietro finished fifth, after fighting for the third step of the podium with Federico Brafa and Filippo Cavezzan.

In the same race 65th place for the first time Flavio Dispensa.

In the Open competition, Cristian Bernardi finished in 18th place overall, 12th among the Elite, while Marco Bramati, born in 2006, crossed the finish line in 42nd place, 23rd among the Under 23s.
