The U19 Giorgia Pellizotti back on the Italian podium, after the silver medal at the Italian cyclocross championships at the beginning of January and the surprising third place a week ago on the road. The U19 Pietro Cao with the first Italian medal of his young career. And the usual LuciaBramati, still among the best at Italian level, with the fifth place overall among the Open women, second among the Under 23.

The Italian Short Track Championships, held today in Chies d'Alpago, confirmed the growth and solidity of the Trinx Factory Team boys, capable once again of expressing themselves at the highest levels.

Starting with the youngest, Giorgia Pellizotti (photo credit Alessio Pederiva) animated a new head-to-head with Nicole Azzetti, who preceded her in a two-man sprint. Behind them nobody,as often happened this season. A silver medal that extends the streak of results of Giorgia, already a splendid protagonist in cyclocross, on the road and in the main Italian MTB circuits.

If seeing the 16-years-old on the podiums is becoming usual, for Pietro Cao it is a first time. The 17-year-old from Cordignano came close to the big target, finishing a couple of meters from the winner Ettore Fabbro. But his performance was sumptuous, especially if you consider that in the 19 minutes of the test the standard-bearer of the Trinx Factory Team had to deal with two team-mate opponents: in addition to Fabbro, in the leading trio there was also Federico Brafa, who came in third.

Having given due praise to the young athletes in the U19 category, it is also important to highlight the performance of Lucia Bramati, who had to compete with the elite: in the race won by Greta Seiwald, the 22-year-old finished her race in fifth place overall, fourth among the athletes in the U23 category. Only Sara Cortinovis, fourth at the finish line, preceded her.

Also competing is the elite Cristian Bernardi, sixteenth in the competition won by Juri Zanotti.

For the athletes of the Trinx Factory Team there won’t be much time to enjoy these results.Tomorrow, the fourth and penultimate stage of the Internazionali d’Italia Series circuit is already scheduled, again in Chies d’Alpago.

The U19 will open the program at 9:30 am. At 12 am it will be the turn of all the international women's categories (Elite Women, Under 23 Women and U19 Women), while the Open men will start at 3.15 pm.
