There are weekends that go beyond the results, where the atmosphere and prestige of the event transform the races into a chance to show off in front of the fans and the sponsors. This is the case of the Italian stage of the World Cup, which today in Val di Sole experienced its final act with the Xco competitions. A day that filled the heart of Cristian Bernardi, who returned to ride these trails with the national team jersey, two years after the last time: in 2024 the italian rider was not in the game due to the illness that kept him in the pits for a long time. A return to the World Cup for the Elite (in the photo by Maxime Schmid), which ended with a 63rd place but above all many emotions.
Emotions that Lucia Bramati will have also felt, who in the U23 race repeated the 18th place obtained in the short track. For the 22-year-old it is the seventh placement among the 20 in the ten World Cup races so far; Lucia has never gone beyond 23rd place, a sign of great consistency on all terrains, in both specialties and in all conditions.
The Belgian Under 23 Sverre Van Lee also got a taste of the Trentino atmosphere for the first time. For him, who started in 77th position, a 57th place that confirms his qualities: infact he is in his first year in the category.
Speaking of the U19 athletes, after yesterday's third place by Pellizotti in the Italian Road Championship, today Flavio Dispensa ended in 15h place the Marathon dell'Altopiano in Enego.
