Her international season had begun in Spain, with her first races (and victories) in the national squad jersey. And on Sunday Valentina Corvi will return to the Iberian peninsula to participate in the penultimate round of the Cyclocross World Cup in Benidorm.

The fresh Italian champion (on the podium in the photograph by Lisa Paletti) was called-up by the national coach Daniele Pontoni and on Sunday she will compete in the Junior Women's race, starting at 10:30.

The Spanish journey will be only the first of the three international appointments that will close the splendid season of the young biker from Valtellina: Valentina will return to wear the national jersey on Sunday 29 January in Besancon (in France), where is scheduled the last round of the World Cup, to then concentrate on the World Championship in Hoogerheide on Saturday 4 February.

The weekend of the Trinx Factory Team, however, will start tomorrow in Cremona, where Lucia Bramati (in the photo alongside engaged in the Italian of Ostia Antica) will participate in the Women's Open race of the 43rd Gran Premio Mamma e Papà Guerciotti.

The 20-year-old from Sandrigo (starting at 1.30pm, live on RAI Sport) will try to give herself a nice birthday present (she celebrated it on Tuesday 17th), following up on the improvements also shown in the unfortunate Ostia Antica Italian Championship: if the fall at the first corner prevented her from being able to fight for the jersey, her pace was excellent.

In addition to the race in Cremona, Lucia Bramati will also ride her Trinx on Sunday, the day in which she will participate in Pove del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza, in the Memorial Guderzo, last round of the 43rd Trofeo Triveneto Ciclocross.
