Second fifth place in a row in the World Cup for Valentina Corvi (in the photo alongside by Elisa Haumesser), who on the fast track in Benidorm (Spain) once again proved to be one of the protagonists of the world cyclo-cross movement. On a field not suited to her characteristics, the fresh Italian champion stayed in the leading group, giving up only in the finale.

«I was aware that I wasn't the favorite on this type of terrain, very fast and with few technical sections», explains Valentina Corvi, who is also the vice European champion among the Under 19s.

«I tried to keep up with the best in the first laps, but in the second part of the race I had find my pace and defend my fifth position. Now I will stay in Spain for a training camp with the national team, next week I will be at the start of the Besançon race (World Cup last round) and then we will focus on the World Championship in Hoogerheide (Netherlands)».

The Trinx Factory Team colours were also seen in Italy thanks to Lucia Bramati, who on Saturday took part in the 43rd Gran Premio Internazionale Mamma e Papà Guerciotti. After a difficult start, the 20-year-old from Veneto climbed up the positions to fight for fourth position in the Women's Open. In the final corners a crash relegated her to sixth place, second among the girls in the Under 23 category.
