HOUFFALIZE (BEL) - After over 30 tricolor jerseys, three World titles in the mtb relay team, two medals at Cyclocross World Championship and the Italian road title in 2007, Eva Lechner enriches her legendary palmares by winning the seventh round of the Gravel World Series (in the photo, the podium).

In her debut of Bolzano in this specialty, Eva won the Houffa Gravel, international race held in the Ardennes, obtaining the pass for the first Gravel World Championship in history, scheduled in Padova on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 October.

«After the exclusion from the European Championship (ideal route for cyclocrossists) and from the World Championship, Eva was very disappointed. So we focused on this goal: I set up the trip to Houffalize with my Belgian cyclocross staff, the Rombaut brothers, involving them in a new adventure for them. This new target has spurred Eva, who wants to demonstrate that even if she is 37 years old she is still competitive at high levels: when an athlete is strong, the most important thing is to stimulate them. Now eyes on the World Championship in Italy».

an event that will also represent a first time for the Trinx brand.
«We have to thank them: as soon as we presented them with this opportunity, they immediately supported us. After all, gravel is very popular in China and 50% of the bikes are produced by the Trinx brand»
