THE LAST WORLD CUP ROUND IN VAL DI SOLE HAS CLOSED THE XCO SEASON OF THE TRINX FACTORY TEAM

After six months of races, over 100,000 kilometers between Italy, Brazil, Andorra, Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Portugal, the six rounds of the World Cup, the World Championships and the Elite, U23 and Junior European Championships, yesterday the Xco season of Trinx Factory Team season ended. An event on the Val di Sole track, in front of italian fans, which represented the best way to say goodbye to the athletes directed by Luca Bramati.


«It was a long season, which began on February 27 in Verona and continued with 12 races in Italy, six World Cup rounds and appointments with the national squad», recalls the sport director of the Trinx Factory Team, with Giorgia Marchet in Maxime Schmid’s photo.

 
 «I am happy with the performance of the athletes, whom I thanked one by one for their efforts over these six months».

Six months in which Trinx Factory Team won three tricolor jerseys, the victories in Italia Bike Cup and Internazionali d'Italia Series circuits, four silver medals at the European Championships thanks to Giorgia Marchet, Valentina Corvi and Fabio Bassignana, in addition to the sixth place at the World Championship of the same Corvi.

«I will keep special memories of the whole season, not just those related to the results», continues Bramati. «Memories that we will need also in the future, to live other good experiences and grow as a team, which is my main goal».
 

Speaking about Val di Sole’s races, for the Trinx Factory Team the weekend opened on Friday with the short track, attended by Eva Lechnerwho finished in 23rd place, and Giorgia Marchet30th. The two athletes on Sunday participated in the Cross Country race too, finished with Marchet's 36th place and Lechner's 39th.

Among the Elite, 51st place for Gioele Bertolini.

The World Cup Italian round gave great emotions to the Under 23s.Noemi Plankensteiner, in her first year in the category, finished for the fifth time out of five races in the top 20 among the Under 23s, crossing the finish line in 17th position.


Best result in the World Cup also for Filippo Agostinacchio (in Maxime Schmid’s photo), who was able to recover positions gaining the 26th place, despite two crashes in the final that made him lose some positions.


 

Andrea Colombo finished in 105th place.


For all of them, the break ranks came right at the end of the races in Val di Sole; the only one who will continue the season is Eva Lechner. The biker from Bolzano will play the Italian Gravel Championship in Ferrara on 18 September, and then participate on 8 and 9 October in the first edition of the Gravel World Championships, scheduled in the province of Padua.
