It was a bittersweet Sunday for the Trinx Factory Team, now focused on next week's national championships.
In Andorra, at the sixth stage of the World Cup, Lucia Bramati's streak of top 25 finishes came to an end.
In Pal Arinsal, the young Italian biker (photocredit Maxime Schmid) finished 31st in the Under 23 race: a placing not due to a physical problem, but rather to a fall in the first lap of the race, when Lucia was hovering around tenth place. In the crash the athlete hit her elbow and knee on the rocks, but more importantly, she lost confidence on the technical downhill sections. The fact that she still finished the race is reassuring regarding her physical condition.
Good shape confirmed by the U19 Pietro Cao, who put himself to the test today igniting the 66th Piva Junior Day in Col San Martino. The U19, in the road race won by Francesco Tessari, won the king of the mountains classification and he was able to promote one of the most important breakaway. For that reason the Trinx Factory Team rider was awarded also as the most combative athlete of the day.
The rest of the team continued training ahead of the National Championships, details of which we will provide later this week.
