The first Trinx Factory Team medal at the Cyclocross European Championships arrives from Belgium. On the demanding track in Namur, the junior Valentina Corvi finished second, preceded by 3 "by the Dutch Lauren Molengraaf at the end of an authoritative race conducted in the leading positions (in the photo by FCI, the podium of the European Championships).
«I've always hoped to have a day like this, but you don't expect it until you live it», said the young rider. «The track was suitable for me and I wanted to have a good race; I started well and I have always been in the leading group with Molengraaf and Belgian Xaydee Van Sinaey. On the final lap I took the last counter-slope descent in first position, unfortunately I made a little mistake and I wasn’t able to fight for the gold; however I am very satisfied».
Obviously pleased also Luca Bramati, Trinx Factory Team sports director. Luca is the ds and the trainer of Valentina not only in the cross season, but also in the Mountain Bike one.
«Valentina did a great race; confident, self-assured and always at ease on a technical track in which she found herself wonderfully. We are proud of this result; it confirms that the path we have taken is right: this is only the first goal in our cyclocross season».
