One week later her comeback to the national squad in the World Cup in Tabor, Lucia Bramati takes two more steps in her growth path by taking two placings in international competitions.
On Saturday, the 19-year-old from Sandrigo (in imone Nespoli’s photo) finished fourth among the Elite at the International Cyclocross Increa Brugherio; on Sunday in Switzerland it arrived the first podium of the season in an international race, with second place at the Xc de Bulle, held in Switzerland.
«Race by race I feel more and more confortable with the high pace of cyclocross», confirms Lucia Bramati. «I stopped racing in May, so I knew that the first month would be tough, but I have faith in the work we are doing».
Athletic work carried out also in these days, with the Trinx Factory Team’s athlete who, between Brugherio, Bulle and Florence (scheduled for Tuesday 1 November) will put three international races in the legs in four days.
«The important thing is to grow step by step: in Switzerland I closed 50" behind the winner, in Brugherio the gap was one and a half minutes. The goal is to make up the difference in December, when I expect to reap the benefits of the workload we are doing».
December is a pivotal month to prepare the most important events. «The Italian Championship in Rome on January and the World Championship in Hoogerheide at the beginning of February. To achieve the best shape, we will race some World Cup rounds too».
Speaking of the World Cup, on Sunday on the Belgian track of Maasmechelen Valentina Corvi closed the race reserved for Junior Women in ninth place.
For the 17-year-old the best way to leave behind Tabor's bad day and prepare herself for the European Championship in Namur, scheduled for next weekend.
Before the trip to Holland for the Continental challenge, Valentina will race the 2nd Trofeo Città di Firenze, which will see at the start the best Italian specialists.
