Weekend around the Europe for Trinx Factory Team athletes, able to gain important results in Spain, Greece and Switzerland in both cyclocross and mountain bike international races.
Starting from the commitments of Valentina Corvi (in Maxime Schmid’s picture), in Spain for a training camp with the national team, the biker from Tirano valtellinese was on full display on Sunday too, finishing in fifth position the Cyclocross with Da Romaiña.
First place for her among the junior but, above all, many more experienced athletes left behind, as happened the day before at the Ciclocross Internacional Concello de Ribadumia, closed by Valentina in seventh place (and best U19).
If we exclude the Spanish debut in Pontevedra, in which a puncture relegated her to eighth place, the 17-year-old italian rider collected three wins in three competitions among juniors, with two top 10 conquered in international races with a lot of Elites at the start.
Good first international appearance for Lucia Bramati too, who took part in the RadquerSteinmaur, a C2 level cyclocross race in Switzerland. The 19-year-old from Sandrigo (in Lisa Paletti’s photo) finished fourth in the Women's Open standing, second among the Under 23’s.
For her, who had competed little in the summer due to school commitments, a further step of growth after the first two races in Italy in Cadoneghe, home of the first stage of the Triveneto Trophy, and in Osoppo, second round of Giro d’Italia Ciclocross.
Speaking about Mtb, Giorgia Marchet was on stage in Greece, taking part in the Greek MTB Series by Alter Bike Tours, the third round of the Salamina Epic Race.
In a useful test to conquer UCI points and maintain a good shape in view of the winter preparation, Giorgia (in the archive photo by Simone Pederiva) crossed the finish line in fourth position, 30 seconds from the podium.
For her there will soon be other opportunities to climb the rankings: in the next days, the biker from Feltre is going to participate in the next stages of the Greek circuit.
