It wasn't just the first journey abroad of 2026, it was also the first sustained training session for some of Luca Bramati's athletes, who were competing in Serbia until Sunday. And, with two of the four races scheduled on the trails of Fruška Gora behind them, the Trinx Factory Team has a positive record, with one win, two second-place finishes, and three bronze medals, all courtesy of the team's women.
The success was signed by the Italian Junior Women's champion Giorgia Pellizotti, who needed only two attempts to hit the target: after third place in the C1 class race on Thursday, her seasonal debut on the mountain bike, the seventeen-year-old from Treviso crossed the finish line first, overtaking Elina Semenova in the two-woman sprint.

There was also good news in the Under 23 category, where Laura Squarise, seventh overall and first in the U23 category a week ago in Verona, confirmed her good shape. The athlete from Alessandria achieved two more international top 10: on Thursday she placed seventh, just seconds behind the first Under 23, Evie Strachan, while yesterday Laura finished sixth, again preceded by the British athlete. In the same category, it is worth noting the solid performances of the young Antonia Grangl, in her first year among the Under 23s.
The Austrian was also able to finish both stages in the top 10: ninth on Thursday, a result that earned her third place among the athletes in her category, tenth in yesterday's demanding race, in which she was able to manage the efforts of the two days to snatch fourth place among the Under 23s.
Lucia Bramati fared differently in this two days in Serbia. The twenty-three-year-old biker, in her first season in the elite category, finished fourth on Thursday; a sort of warm-up for yesterday's race, where Lucia not only moved up a spot, but also finished less than a minute behind the experienced Anne Terpstra, winner of both stages.
In the men's challenges, the only Trinx Factory Team athlete competing was Marco Bramati, who took part in the Open race. The 19-year-old finished the two races in 36th and 35th place, respectively.
This afternoon, Marco will have another chance to compete with athletes from all over Europe, competing in the third stage of the Serbia Epic Andrevlje. Laura Squarise will also be in the game. On the other hands, Lucia Bramati, Antonia Grangl, and Giorgia Pellizotti will have a rest day before returning to racing on Sunday.
