It will be an Italian squad formed by five Trinx Factory Team athletes the one that will participate at the MTB World Championships, scheduled from 24 to 28 August in Les Gets.

Among the 23 bikers called up by coach Mirko Celestino there are five athletes from the team directed by Luca Bramati: the Elite Giorgia Marchet   (currently in Munich for the European Championships), the Under 23s Noemi Plankensteiner and Filippo Agostinacchio, the juniors Valentina Corvi and Fabio Bassignana.

«This will be my first World Championship among the Elite after the one in Leogang in 2020 among the Under 23s», says Giorgia Marchet, who is going to compete in the continental event on Saturday 20 at 12 noon.

«It is a demanding last part of the season, with Europeans, World Championships and the last round of the World Cup in Val di Sole within three weeks. But, remembering the difficulties I had in 2021, live appointments like these is a dream that comes true».

It will be the first world championship in the new category also for Filippo Agostinacchio and Noemi Plankensteiner, both born in 2003 and therefore in the first season among the Under 23s.

«After the two world championships among the juniors, this year I will make my debut in the Under 23», confirms the nineteen-year-old from South Tyrol.
«The first world championship was characterized by bad weather, last year it went better in Val di Sole. It will certainly be another good experience in a season that has already given me a lot of satisfaction and from which I hope to improve my run in and my ability to manage the effords during the race».

«Last year the Junior World Championships gave me a wonderful day after a difficult period. I hope to feel similar emotions», recalls Filippo Agostinacchio, who will also bring several fans with him to France.

Call up to the national team that has a special taste for Fabio Bassignana, already in national squad at the Junior and Under 23 European Championships in Portugal.

«Last year I lived the World Championships in Val di Sole among the supporter, so I can't wait to 'climb over' the fence and experience them as an athlete also because in France there will be a lot of supporter».

Once again in blue jersey also Valentina Corvi who, although she is a first year girl, this season has already had the chance to compete in six rounds of the Junior Series, in the European Championships in Anadia and, in cyclocross, in the World Championships in Fayetteville.

«Being in a event like this repays me for all the sacrifices made in this fantastic season in this fantastic season», confirms the young biker from Valtellina (in Alessio Pederiva’s photo), twice Italian champion in short track and cross country.

«It will be a wonderful experience to face again against the best juniors in the world. I will compete in the Team Relay on Wednesday and in Xco on Thursday: I consider it a fortune, because at my age the more high-level events you compete, the more you learn».
