Four silvers (and a wooden one) are the Trinx Factory Team spoils of the expedition to the Junior and U23 European Championships in Anadia.

To confirm the goodness of Mirko Celestino’s decision to field her as the only Elite, Giorgia Marchet was one of the protagonists of the event, winning the silver medal in the short track on Thursday and contributing on Friday to the comeback of the blue train in the team relay, closed from the national team to second place.

In the team relay, were also important the contribution of the juniors Fabio Bassignana, second fractionist to start, and Valentina Corvi, who followed up the comeback started by Marchet herself. Speaking of Valentina (in Uec’s photo), on her debut at the European Championships the 17 years old finished in fourth position, close to the podium, a result that would have made her the only girl born in 2005 to take home two medals.

The individual race of Fabio Bassignana was more complicated (28th): the Portuguese track wasn’t suitable for him; although Fabio can still be satisfied, bringing home the precious silver in the team relay.

Among the Under 23s, Noemi Plankensteiner closed her first European Championship in the new category in 16th place, fourth among the girls born in 2003. For Noemi, as well as for all her teammates, there will soon be a chance to compete again with her peers: next weekend Trinx Factory Team will participate in the World Cup round in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
