A week after Valentina Corvi’s triumph in the short track, Trinx Factory Team is putting on another Italian title thanks to Filippo Agostinacchio, who won the Xce race in La Thuile.

For the 19-year-old from Pila (in the collage by Alessio Pederiva on arrival and on the podium) this is the first national victory with the team jersey: not bad if we consider that he is in his first season among the U23’s and in this week he is busy with his high school exams; to make a long story short, this success can be comparated with the one at the European Championships in Serbia, when Filippo won the gold medal in the team relay.

If Agostinacchio's victory is the icing on the weekend cake, the dough was prepared on Saturday by the junior Valentina Corvi (in the photo by Alessio Pederiva) who, before taking off for the Europeans Championship in Anadia, closed in sixth place the cross country race in La Thuile.

Thanks to this result, Valentina was able to win the Internazionali d’Italia leader jersey. This is her third seasonal trophy, after the victory at Italia Bike Cu circuit and at the short track italian championship.

Also on Saturday, the other races valid as the last round of the Internazionali d’Italia Series were held, in which many foreign athletes also participated, raising the competition level.

In the men's Open race, Gioele Bertolini had to settle for 12th position, slowed down in the second lap by a puncture which prevented him from fighting for the top positions.

Nineteenth place for Filippo Agostinacchio (7th among the Under 23s) and 32nd place for Andrea Colombo(16th among the Under 23s).

Giorgia Marchet fought for the podium, competing until the last lap with world champion Evie Richards and Haley Batten: in the end she finished fifth, which guarantees her third place in the final classification of Internazionali d’Italia Series.

Second position in general classification for Eva Lechner, who crossed the finish line in eighth position in La Thuile.

Among the Juniors, sixth place for Fabio Bassignana, also called up for the European Championships in Portugal, who with this placement has climbed the general classification up to fourth position.
